Here’s the skinny….. My name is Kimberly Jones. I was born & raised right here in Glen Allen. Yup, didn’t go far and I love it here! I am a licensed cosmetologist and certified sugarist. I fell in love with waxing back in 2009 and never looked back! Having had the privilege of working at some amazing salons here in Richmond, I gained the experience needed to open my own independent studio in 2015. When I’m not waxing, I’m a homebody. My husband and I have a full house with two pugs, two cats, an occasional teenage stepson popping in and our newborn daughter! Waxing isn’t exactly a spectator sport so I don’t allow friends, family, spouses or children over the age of three in the treatment room! Let’s keep the focus on YOU! *Exceptions are always made for infants confined to a stroller or car seat. Appointments are quick and as a new mom myself please, don’t worry if we need to stop to settle your little one down. Mamas gotta get waxed too! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Age/Anatomy Restrictions: I do not take clients under the age of eighteen with or without parental consent. Sorry, no exceptions. I personally specialize in female anatomy Brazilians and body hair removal services. For that reason, I do not offer services for males. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Medical Contradictions/Sickness: If you have been sick recently even if it’s “just a cold”, please reschedule your appointment or reach out to me so that we can find a better time for you when you’re feeling better. If you have been on oral steroids, antibiotics or blood thinners within the last two weeks, you will need to reschedule two weeks out from your last dose. 🛑 Remember: NO waxing on antibiotics or steroids! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Hair length: This is mainly for new clients when you’re just not sure how long your hair needs to be for that first wax. ALL areas of the body must have THREE continuous weeks of growth from last shave,wax or tweeze to be eligible for services. If you arrive to your appointment and have altered the hair growth cycle within three weeks then you may have to reschedule. *It is imperative that you follow this guideline for the very best results otherwise you will more than likely have hair left that is unable to be removed. Shorter hairs are also prone to breakage instead of being pulled out completely. I WANT YOU TO HAVE THE BEST RESULTS! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Menstrual Cycle: FAQ: Can you wax on your period? Absolutely! Just let me know prior to getting started and I will take all precautions needed to make sure you’re comfortable. I understand it can feel uneasy but I assure you as a professional, this happens on the daily! Just one thing; *All clients MUST wear a fresh tampon or cup. If you strictly wear pads you will need to reschedule. *For your convenience, tampons and feminine wipes are provided in the treatment room. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Aftercare/Virtual retail shelf: All new clients will receive an exfoliating glove, samples of my favorite products as well as clear aftercare instructions. Exfoliating gloves are always available for you to take home at your appointments however, Id love to steer you in the direction of a more eco friendly way of exfoliating when you’re ready!
